About

Teaching informed by mathematics and technology.

I am a teacher at Pineland Colony School in Border Land School Division. My current teaching includes Grade 9 Mathematics and Science, including Transitional Mathematics.

I earned a Bachelor of Education (After Degree) and a Bachelor of Science with a mathematics major from Brandon University. My earlier classroom experience spans kindergarten through Grade 12, as well as university instructional support.

Outside the classroom, I develop educational and community software. That work shapes how I approach problems, organize information, and choose technology that serves a clear purpose.

I teach Grade 9 Mathematics and Science, including Transitional Mathematics. I use structured instruction, guided practice, and approaches from Building Thinking Classrooms to support mathematical understanding and student participation.

Teaching Philosophy

Clear expectations. Thoughtful support.

I aim to create a calm, respectful classroom where students can ask questions, practise skills, and develop confidence. I use visual models, practical examples, formative checks, and responsive instruction.

Technology belongs in the classroom when it improves learning, feedback, accessibility, or organization—not simply because it is available.

Selected Projects

Technology built to solve practical problems.

I develop tools for instruction, assessment, curriculum management, and access to learning materials.
